

He was born September 5, 1911 in Summit, New jersey to Bessie ( Tomkins) and Joseph E. Pryor Sr.
Mr. Pryor was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Irene Pryor, September 2000.
He served in the US Army during WW11 and suffered combat wounds in European theater.
Mr. Pryor obtained a BA Degree in mathematics from mercer university in macon, GA and a MS Degree in psychology form University of Texas at Austin. He taught mathematics at San Angelo college, San Angelo, TX and at Sacramento College, Sacramento, CA. He was a retired California teacher, and also retired from the California Army national Guard. Joseph was a life-long Roman Catholic and a former member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include two sons, James Pryor and his wife, connie, of Temple, TX and Dennis Pryor and his wife, Cheryl, of Fairfax, VA; a daughter, Claire Pryor of Mountain View, CA; and four grandchildren living in Texas and Colorado.
