Kenneth H. Mankins

Services for Kenneth will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Belton, Texas with Dr. Andy Davis officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.

Kenneth was born in Floydada, Texas on January 9,1943. After graduating from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas in 1964, he served in the US Army Signal Corps and was deployed for a tour of duty in Vietnam. After leaving the Army as a 1st Lt., Kenneth was employed at West Fort Hood until 1989 when he moved to Falls Church, Virginia to work for the Federal Aviation Administration. After retirement in 1999, he moved to Temple in October of 1999.

Mr. Mankins is survived by his loving wife Lavanda Lois Hubbard Mankins of Temple, son Craig Mankins of Ft. Worth, daughter Michelle Johnson of Killeen, grandsons Devon, D’Andrea’, and D’Shawn Johnson, and his sister Waylene Mankins of Houston.

A visitation will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Temple, Texas.
