OBITUARY
Kenneth Charles Williamson
April 7, 1971 – August 22, 2013
Kenneth Charles Williamson, 42 years old, passed away in Temple Texas on Thursday afternoon, August 22, 2013.
He was married to Betty Williamson. They have one daughter, Jessie Diffee, her husband Ray and two grandchildren, Tamas and Leah.
Ken is also survived by his parents Lauretta and Mercer Buchanan of Waco and Frank and Aileen Williamson of Grandberry. He has two beloved brothers, Scott Williamson of Leander, and Merchant Buchanan, of Austin, his wife Ann, and their children, Ainsley and Brayden, Ken’s loving sister Elizabeth Dietz, with her husband Bill Dietz Jr. and their children, Liam and Alex. Ken graduated from Waco High School and California State in Long Beach. He is presently the President of Texas Cardiovascular Medicine.
Those who knew Ken, knew that he never met a stranger, was loyal to a fault, loved life, friends, and family. As a young man, Ken loved nothing more (other than having a great time with friends), than being Crucifer and Server for St Paul’s Episcopal Church for four years. Ken was an amazing, loving, and mischievous son, a wonderful, devoted husband, and an unbelievable adoring father and grand father. PawPaw was the name he loved most to hear. He doted on his grandchildren, and they thrived with him. Ken openly loved his extended family and friends. He relived memories constantly. His was a life cut too short, and he will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. The Memorial Service for Ken will be at the Crawford-Bowers Funeral home, 3220 S. 31st Street in Temple on Monday, August 26, at 2:00 p.m., with the Reverend Richard Johnston presiding over the service.

Meeting at the skating rink, holding hands, passing notes in sixth grade. We became close friends. You were one of the first who shared the true meaning of loyalty. Your poignant poem in high school said it all.
Your life was cut way too short; everyone will agree to that, Ken. Your spirit was needed elsewhere, but we are still sad to see you go. Many blessings, thoughts and prayers to those who loved you left behind. Much regard, Laura Evans Smith, WHS '89

My Dear Betty,
I was stunned to hear of your (and the world's) loss. I no longer know how to contact you. I went to the only place I've ever known you to live as soon as I heard but knew immediately, before I went to the door, that you were no longer there. We lost Vance's father a few years ago so I can somewhat relate to your place in time. Honey, I love you and I am so sorry. Please call me 744-2312. All my love,
Rachael Krohn

He was a character, he was funny, he was genuine, he was the best of friend s, he was non judgmental, he was loved by all who knew him. His nickname was Waco, and he will be missed. Raise your glasses to one of the finest persons I've ever known. Raise your glasses to Waco!
