Martha Lena Minzenmayer was born on March 25, 1930, in Williamson County, Texas, to Rosie and Joseph Srnensky. She passed on June 16, 2026, at the age of 96. She was a resident of Temple, Texas. She was the eighth of their ten children. She graduated from Taylor High School in 1948 and married Clarence Minzenmayer on November 1, 1949.
Martha was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved tending flowers and working in her vegetable garden each day. Her faith was also central to her life; she loved her church and read her Bible daily.
Martha was an enthusiastic Dallas Cowboys fan and she especially admired Tom Landry. She and her sister, Albina attended many games. Martha even devoted a room in her home to the Cowboys.
She also treasured time with her family. She and her sister, Lillie often spent afternoons baking kolaches, especially when the weather was just right. Attending reunions and visiting her brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews brought her tremendous joy.
Martha also inspired her family with her determination, walking two miles each day until two years ago, when her heart no longer allowed her to continue her daily neighborhood walks.
She is survived by her sons: Bruce Minzenmayer and wife Belinda of Temple; Kerry Minzenmayer and wife Julia of Georgetown. Grandchildren: Andrew Minzenmayer, Nick Minzenmayer, McKenzie Milburn and husband Preston, and Kurt Minzenmayer. Great-Grandchildren: Evan Milburn and Nora Milburn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence Minzenmayer of 65 years; her sisters, Bertha Christianson, Elsie Mucha, Lillie Martinets, Angeline Hobbs, Jean Ann Griffin, Albina Kerlin, and Agnes Eschberger; and her brothers, Edmond Srnensky and Joe Srnensky.
