

Mary Lou Kirksey, (Mingy) 89 passed away on February 1, 2024. Mary was born on April 9, 1934, in Warren Township, Michigan to George Thompson and Gladys Harrington. A graveside service for Mary will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at 2:00 PM at North Belton Cemetery in Belton, Texas. Pastor Ray Featherstone officiating.
Mary was a member of the Belton Lighthouse Church in Belton, Texas. She loved helping others and baking goodies for the holidays. Her specialty was Gingerbread cookies and homemade peanut brittle every Christmas.
Mary is survived by her Daughters Mary Duke (Dale) of Temple, TX. Ruth Wilkins of Killeen, Texas, and son Gale Cobb (Janice) of Kalkaska, MI.
Grandchildren: Tony Zamora of Killeen, Rey Zamora of Killeen, Amanda Armstrong (Colter) of Rio Rancho, NM, Eric Cobb of Kalkaska, MI, Richard (Tiny) Cobb of Midland, MI, Lisa Washington of Midland, MI, Mary Lou Morningstar (Woody) of Midland, MI, and 12 great grandchildren: Jaxon, Brianna, Christoper, Leah, Mya, Ella, Savannah, Cameron, Airanna, Jamie, Levii, and Joey. And 1 great-great grandchild, Brair
Mary was preceded in death by her parents (George and Gladys), each of her 11 brothers and sisters as well as her first husband and father of her children, Richard Cobb of Michigan. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Robert Kirksey; and her eldest son, Richard Cobb II of Midland, Michigan.
The family would like to thank Hill Country Nursing and Rehab in Copperas Cove and Heart of Texas Hospice in Killeen for their compassionate care.
Rest in peace Mama (Mingy)……your journey is done on this earth. You are gone but never forgotten. Your memory will live on in your Children, Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren!
