Nancy Pugh loved life and she loved living life. She was passionate about genealogy, knitting, gardening, sewing, quilting, baking, and canning produce from her annual vegetable garden. She played and dealt blackjack for charity events for many years, and she was tough to beat. She loved Mardi Gras. She would collect every beaded necklace and doubloon she could get in her hands. All their grandchildren loved going through Gramma Pugh’s Mardi Gras stash. In her twenties Nancy worked for Sears & Roebuck as a knitting instructor in Houston, Texas. She was an entrepreneur ahead of her time. She opened Bikini Cove, a custom-made bikini boutique in 1970 and had quite the following. In 1976 she became a successful Realtor/Broker for Century 21 and worked in the real estate industry until her retirement in 2002. Nancy enjoyed many things with her husband. Life found many adventures for them: Exploring the United States, Mexico, Germany, camping, kayaking, county fairs, fund raising, boating, fishing in the Gulf of Mexico and simply driving the back roads of the country. Oh, the stories they would tell… She also travelled to Japan, Singapore, and the Sudan.
