Rosa Elena Jones

Rosa Elena Jones, age 72, of Temple, Texas (formerly of El Paso), passed away peacefully on August 28, 2024, in Temple, TX. Born on November 1,1951, in Juarez, Mexico, Rosa brought joy and warmth to everyone who knew her.

Rosa's life was defined by her vibrant spirit, love for music, and deep faith in the Lord. She met her husband, Bill Jones, at the discotheque called Cosmos on the El Paso-Juarez border, where they often joked that the dance floor parted the moment their eyes met. Their whirlwind romance led to a marriage that blossomed just six months later, a testament to the deep connection they shared for 45 years.

An adventurous soul, Rosa was fortunate to travel the world and embraced every moment of her journeys. Known for her outgoing nature, she had a unique gift for making friends wherever she went. Her conversations could light up a room, and her passion for dancing was contagious.

Rosa had a strong relationship with the Lord and held on to her faith throughout her life, always sharing how good her Lord and Savior was to her and her loved ones, no matter the circumstances.

She leaves behind her oldest daughter, Michelle and her husband Michael, and her youngest daughter, Heidi, as well as her cherished grandchildren: Ayden, Dylan, Rylan, and Sephra, who brought her immense joy and pride. Rosa’s legacy of kindness and love will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she touched.

A celebration of Rosa’s life will be held at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home on 09.27.24 at 10:00am. Following the celebration of life will be a graveside service at 1:00 PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Killeen, TX.
