Shirley was born on October 3, 1935 in Moffat, Texas to James and Ruth Hale Farmer. She attended school and graduated from McGregor High School. She married Donald “Don” Thweatt in 1957 and they were married for 57 years until his death in 2014. She worked as a bank teller and at the auction barn in Belton, Texas until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband, Don, daughter Donna Lisenbe, brother Kermit Farmer, and a sister, Bonnie Farmer-Bartels. Mrs. Thweatt is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Bolton, sister Jo Lawson, brother Jay Farmer, sister-in-law Johnnie Farmer, grandchildren Derreck and Del Lisenbe, Terrence and Zach Bolton, and 7 great-grandchildren.
