Dad was dearly loved by many. A special thanks from our hearts to those who kept our daddy “alive and comfortable” with his diabetic medications and Cornerstone Gardens and Hospice STC4 Baylor Scott & White and all the nurses throughout this journey. Without your loving care, we would have said goodbye sooner. He wanted to be home but circumstances prevented that and we are thankful for a place at Cornerstone Gardens. Thanks to all the staff and nurses! May God bless Doug Morris; he was Dad’s “Best-Last Man” for this service. Thank you for accepting. He loved you very much.

Dad, I will always be a daddy’s girl. You always had to brag about everything I did, Track, Dance , band. Etc,. Than I would get so embarrassed , but after becoming a mom, I saw and understood your bragging rights. I never wanted for or needed anything growing up. You did awesome. When this journey began, you said , “I don’t know what’s goin on,” and as “me and you” took our leap of faith, we grew closer and closer. I told you I would take care of you, that you also would never want or need for anything, like you I worked everyday to make you comfortable, felt safe, and never ever feel alone , and as you always did, you still never stopped bragging about me. But actually I bragged about you, and thankful that God gave me you as a dad and allowed me to take care of you like you did me. All I ever wanted was to make you proud. Now you’ll never worry, wander why things happened the way they did, or felt like you were being forgotten. Your in Heaven with your Lord and Savior and Mom, what a reuniting I would have loved to see. I got it with you now I got it still , our job together got you finally home. Thank you for wanting me loving me and taking care of me , I love you forever and “peace & love!”

The Channings and I were neighbors over on Lancelot Lane for quite a few years. I moved away but one day while I was at Walgreens I decided to stop by and see my friends. Ted answered the door and quickly shut it. I just stood there in shock and he almost immediately opened the door again, grinning and said”I’m mad at you!” Of course he smiled and gave me a big hug and said” because you haven’t come sooner!”. That’s the kind of person and neighbor they both were. Never saw either of them without a big smile. They are missed❤️
