Obituary of Alyssa Mechelle Hogue
Alyssa Mechelle Hogue, 19, of Terre Haute, passed away unexpectedly on July 26, 2014. She was born on August 5, 1994, in Terre Haute to Chris Hogue and Amy Jukes. Alyssa graduated from Terre Haute North in 2013 and was a sophomore at Indiana State University. Alyssa is survived by her parents: Amy (Ed) Jukes and Chris (Amanda) Hogue, all of Terre Haute; siblings, Colton and Anderson Hogue; grandparents, Linda Spangler, Charles Maynard, Ed and Connie Jukes, Patrick and Jane Heeke; great-grandma, Mary Jukes; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Donald and Jeanette Hogue, great-grandparents Mary and Frank Parks, grandfather Bill Spangler, and great-grandfather Bill Jukes. Alyssa was a wonderful friend who made everyone she met feel special. She was kind, loving, and extremely outgoing. Alyssa’s beautiful smile lit up any room, and made everyone happy. Her easy laugh was contagious and will always be in our hearts. Alyssa simply loved life and the family and friends in it. She was constantly on the go and committed herself completely to every activity. She enjoyed her previous jobs at Vanity and the Bouncin Barn and was looking forward to the many opportunities at The Buckle. She was fiercely loyal and was the first one there for any friend in need. She could always be depended on for a listening ear, a compassionate heart, and a meaningful hug. Alyssa will be missed more than words can ever express by her large family and many friends. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 31 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Brett Wilson officiating. Private graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
