Anna was preceded in death by brothers, Paul and Robert; and a sister, Betty. Survivors include sister, Oma Weaver and husband, John; children, Lee Dillion and wife, Kim, Bob Dillion and wife, Judy, Paul Cochran, Susan Buell and husband, Paul, and Mark Poole and wife, Angie; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Anna attended Merom High School until she started her family at an early age. There were many decades of difficulties and hardships, which often she had to handle alone, but with an admirable devotion to the welfare of her family. She worked at Alden’s department store as a bookkeeper and sales clerk in the millinery department and at several laundromats until she was 80. It was here that for more than 30 years she was dedicated to the work and the people she met. She had a passion for flowers and her home was brightened by their beauty. Holidays at home featured an abundance of food selections served to a large gathering of family and friends. Her life was full of loving deeds, forever thoughtful of our special needs.
Funeral services will be offered by the Reverend Jack Gettinger in the Chapel of Memories at Roselawn Memorial Park at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10. Friends and family are welcome to attend. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Cobblestone Crossing and staff for the care they provided Anna. Care and arrangements have been entrusted to Greiner Funeral home, 2005 N. 13th St., Terre Haute, IN 47804. Online condolences may be made at:
