She retired from Columbia Records, worked for Grandma Joy’s, and was a Crossing Guard for Davis Park Elementary. Later in life, Betty joined Foster Grandparent Program and for many years she worked at Ryves Hall Youth Center. She enjoyed the kids, her friends, her co-workers, and the fellowship she found there.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Patrick Dale Bennett and Darryl Wayne Dean; her brothers and sisters, Lester Brenton, Mable Summers, John Edward Brenton, Estel Lee Brenton, Pauline Rose Dean, Lorene Marie Kamedulski; and one great-granddaughter, Morgan.
Betty is survived by her sister, Gertrude Cuffle; her children, Susan Bennett, Greg Fort, Becky Edington, Bobby Cuffle, Raymond Cuffle, Debbie Cuffle, Ronnie Cuffle; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and blessed with an abundant amount of nieces and nephews.
