Bobby Gene Burton

Bobby Gene Burton, 85, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2019, at Signature Healthcare. He was born December 5, 1933, to Mamie Sarchett Burton and Ernest Burton. He grew up and lived most of his life in the Ehrmandale-Fontanet area. Bobby was a special man and loved by all. He was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Ernestine Cooper, Helen Lawson, Doris Mobley and Hazel Niece; and 2 brothers, Jim Burton and his twin brother Bill Burton. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Bobby attended Higher Ground Church, the members of which were like his second family. Graveside services will be Thursday, July 11, 2019, at 1:00 PM, at Sulphur Springs Cemetery, with Pastor Faron Richard officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Mattox-Wood Funeral Home.
