She was born on August 16, 1935 in West Terre Haute to Robert C. Fields and Corine Cruise Fields.
Carol had taken care of many neighbors as a CNA in her career.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and five siblings, Bill Fields, Jackie Fields, Peggy Readinger, Bobby Fields and Timmy Fields.
Surviving are her children, James (Irene Miller) White of New Goshen, Carla Shaw of Terre Haute, and Robin (Mark) Hawkins of Terre Haute; and five siblings, Rosemary Schimmel of Terre Haute, Harold (Joyce) Fields of Kokomo, Alan (Jane) Fields of Texas, Rex (Betty) Fields of Terre Haute and Charles “Toby” (Cheryl) Fields of Terre Haute; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 1:30 P.M. at Roselawn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11 AM until time of services at the funeral home.
