Carolyn Sue Power, 79, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at Union Hospital. She was born January 20, 1940, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Harold Robert Warnock Sr. and Dorothy Loraine Warnock.
She was president of the Ladies Auxiliary at the American Legion Post 346, a member of the VFW #972, and loved to play bingo every chance she could.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bill and Johnny Ray Warnock; and a sister, Norma Julian.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Johnnie Power; four daughters, Pam (Jeff) Allen, Deanne (Kevin) Cull, Dorothy (Jim) David and Julie (Jim) Stevens; two sons, Ernest (Gladys) Bedford and Norman (Judy) Bedford; 17 grandchildren, Billy McKinney, Carolyn McKinney, Adrian Foxworthy, Brian McKinney, Doyne Charles Luttrell, Jenny Dunigan, George Luttrell, Heather Karnes, Ashley David, Austin David, Susan Nelms, James Stevens III, Jennifer Marshall, Dexter Marshall, Nicki Marshall, Christina Cull and Chris Cull; 36 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Warnock, Harold Robert Warnock Jr. and Paul Allen Warnock; and four sisters, Rose Naugle, Judy Roberts, Linda Mackey and Marjorie Phillips.
Visitation will be Friday, June 14, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. with Pastor Monisa Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Online condolences can be made at: www.mattoxwood.com
