Catherine Joan Herring

C. Joan Herring,84 of Terre Haute passed away on Nov.10,2015 at her residence with her family by her side. She was the daughter of Roland and Lena Hubbell. She was born in Terre Haute, IN on August 25,1931.

Joan was a graduate of Garfield High School class of 1949,and also two years at I.S.U.She worked at Meadows Manor North and retired as a manager of Cannon Inn..Joan was also a member of Barbour Avenue United Methodist Church

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard whom she married in 1950,and he passed away on Sept.3,1994.She also had a son Jeffrey R. Herring who passed away in 1973 and her parents Roland and Lena, a sister, Betty Cottrell and a brother Dick Johnson.

Survivors include two sons, Steve M. Herring and wife Susan and Rick Herring and wife Michelle of Terre Haute, IN ,a sister Evelyn Sullivan also two granddaughters, Dakotah and Cheyenne both of Terre Haute and a grandson, Michael, and two greatgrandchildren, Ryder Herring and Rhylynne Porter, several sister-in-laws from St.Louis and brother-in-law, plus several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Friday at 1PM at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home with a visitation Friday from 11-1PM at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Kathy Roush with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
