

Catherine L. “Cathy” Pusich, 92, of Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was born on June 25, 1925, in Sawyerville, IL to Steve and Katie (Dobrinich) Biscan.
Cathy is survived by her daughter, Sheila Barnhart of Terre Haute; son, John Pusich and wife Melanie of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Dawn Strole (Chris), Robert Barnhart (Ammanda), Mary Coulston (Danny), Tina Barnhart, Andrew Pusich (Kelcee), and Leslie Clendenen (Mike); twelve great-grandchildren, Justin Strole, Dylan Strole, Trentin Barnhart, Branson Barnhart, Cannen Barnhart, Annabel Coulston, Charlie Coulston, Laura Bahr, Liam Pusich, Owen Pusich, Maizee Pusich, and Josie Clendenen.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Joseph V. Pusich; her parents; a sister, Helen Tiburzi and brother, Andy Biscan.
Cathy graduated high school in 1943. She was a member of the Mother’s Club, New Comers Club, and was a very active member of the Terre Haute Elk’s Club, where she was the treasurer for the Terre Haute Ladies’ Bowling League. For many years, she and her husband, Joe, spent much time at the Terre Haute Elk’s Club, bowling, and golfing. She was inducted into the Terre Haute Bowler’s Hall of Fame. Cathy has been an active member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church since 1963 where she was also on the Altar Society and Mother’s Club.
Cathy’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Hospice of the Wabash Valley, Father Steve, Father Dan, Deacon Mike, Eucharistic Minister Betty Kapellusch, special neighbors and friends Ann and John Nens, Dr. Koduru, and everyone who cared for and prayed for Mrs. Pusich.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 28 at Roselawn Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 29 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Catherine will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Church or Hospice of the Wabash Valley.
