

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Chadwena Bartlett; a son, Robert Alan Bartlett; step-son, Jon Naugle; granddaughter, Amanda Bartlett; brothers, William H. and F. Edward Bartlett; and a nephew, Billy Bartlett.
Bob is survived by his children, Nathan Bartlett and wife Stephanie of West Terre Haute; Rebecca Lingg and husband Robert of Florida; David Bartlett and wife Heather of Florida; Raymond Bartlett of Shepardsville; Mary Jo Bartlett of Shepardsville; Cindy Wilguess and husband Mark of Terre Haute; and Kenny Naugle and wife Michelle of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Chris (Sarah) Wilguess, Jason Wilguess, Chad Wilguess, Angel (Ray) Hollingsworth, Kristin (Derek) Wallace, Justin (Kelsey) Bartlett, Haley Bartlett, Ian Bartlett, Katie Bartlett, Athena Turner, Jacob Naugle-Kates, Brandi Reed, and Kayla Reed; four great-grandchildren; a sister Patricia J. Riker and husband Ted; three nephews, and one niece.
Bob graduated from Bedford High School. He then went to Indiana State Teacher’s College from 1959-1961. He worked for the Bedford Daily Times, Terre Haute Tribune Star, Jimmy’s Appliance Center, and the Daily Clintonian.
Bob was an active member of the DeMolay and the Masonic Jerusalem Lodge #99 in Clinton and the 32nd Scottish Rite of Terre Haute. He was a past Associate Guardian and Grand Senior Custodian of Job’s Daughters. Bob was a member of the Clinton First Baptist Church where he served on various boards, was chairman of the deacons, and the financial secretary. Most of all, Bob cherished the time he spent with his family.
Visitation will be held from noon until 2 p.m. on Friday, April 22 at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home, with Rev. Don Rissler officiating.
