Charles E. Shaw, 95, of Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2011 at Regional Hospital. He was born March 20, 1916 in Vevay, IN to James Earl and Dora Mae (Twinum) Shaw. He married Wanda Gene Porter on February 21, 1941 and she preceded him in death on March 14, 2003. Charles worked for many years as a machinist at Allison’s.
Charles is survived by his two children, Margaret Anderson and her husband Charles of Plainfield and Gordon Shaw and his wife Jo Ann of Greencastle; four grandchildren, Mary Jane Heagy of Plainfield, Julie Mitchell of Danville, IN, Shelley Binetti of Greencastle, and Daniel Shaw of Greencastle; five great-grandchildren, Josh Heagy, Max Heagy, Westley Heagy, Andrew Stevens, Jarod Mitchell,; and several nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Wanda, and a brother Lucian Shaw.
