Charles is survived by his wife Susan Shepherd. daughter Sharon Shepherd, brother Robert Shepherd (Judy), as well as several nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents Everett Shepherd and Lillian Shepherd, as well as his sisters Lola Shepherd and Marcella Kohlmorgen.
Charles served in the Army from 1964 to 1969. Charles was a dispatcher at S and G Excavating for over 30 years.
Charles was a faithful member of Kingshighway and Christway.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Sang Huh, and Kim Zinkovich and all the staff at Coleman Cancer Center. A special thanks to Robin and Becky at Southern Care Hospice. A special thanks to Bob Said who flew in from Texas to help care for his uncle. Also, words cannot express the family's gratitude to Randy and Nancy Medsker who have been there every step of the way.
A visitation will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 9am to 11am with funeral services to immediately follow.
