Cheryl Jean Walls

Cheryl Jean Walls, 57, of Terre Haute, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 10, 1958, in Mattoon, IL to Elmer and Dorothy (Prichard) Walls.

Cheryl graduated from Terre Haute North High School in 1976. She graduated with an Associate’s degree from Ivy Tech. Cheryl worked for several years at McDonald’s. She enjoyed providing customer service and visiting with the patrons.

Cheryl was a homebody by nature. She liked to work in her yard and dote on her dog, Marley and two cats, Puff and Miss Fat. Most of all, Cheryl cherished the time she spent with her family. She was a great mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She will be truly missed.

Cheryl is survived by her mother, Dorothy Walls of Terre Haute; children, Crystal Gentry and JonPaul Gossett both of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Gabe Gentry, Brooklynn Gentry and Rylan Gossett, all of Terre Haute; a brother Mark Walls and wife Cheryl Ann of Fort Wayne; and a nephew, Damon Walls of Terre Haute.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Walls in January 2015; a brother, Donald Walls; and a nephew, Sean Walls.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 9 at Roselawn Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home. Cheryl will be laid to rest, along with her father, Elmer in Roselawn Memorial Park. Military honors will be provided for Elmer by VFW Post 972.
