Cheryl Yates died October 3, 2025. A child of God who was taken from us way too soon. She was a joy to be around and put a smile on the faces of everyone who had the pleasure of spending time with her. She will be greatly missed by her family and all the great friends she had in the community that loved and supported her through the years. She was a proud Saint Mary’s of the Woods graduate and worked for Eli Lilly (Elanco) in Clinton for over thirty years. She loved being a foster parent and her home was always open to several foster children. She enjoyed traveling, hiking, and spending time preparing weekly meals for the needy through her church.
Cheryl is survived by her mother Marge; brother, Bryan and wife Heidi; nieces Stacey. Kelley and Shelby; a sister Pamala and husband Steve; son Nicholas.
She was proceeded in death by her father, Jimmie.
There will be a memorial service at a later date.
