

David “Dave” J. Parr, of Terre Haute, passed away Thursday May 22, 2014 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. Dave was born June7, 1936 in Terre Haute to Jacob A. Parr and Thelma Peak Parr. Dave was the owner of Historic Motor Car’s in Terre Haute. Dave was nationally known for his upholstery restoration work on many award winning antique and classic cars. Dave enjoyed collecting a wide variety of antiques and collectibles. He enjoyed attending auctions and sales with his wife Linda. He was a member of The William Penn Lodge and was baptized in the North Terre Haute Baptist Church. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Thelma Parr, Thelma passed away in April of 2013 at the age of 104. Dave is survived by his wife, the love of his life for 53 years, Linda Graham Parr. He is also survived by one brother, Robert Parr of Terre Haute, one sister, Mary Kay Pedigo and her husband Howard of Plainfield, Indiana. Two sisters in law; Nancee Boland and Trudi Dearth and her husband Dick, all of Florida. Nieces; Gail Emge, Robin Church, Cheryl Ramirez, Lisa Krauza and Sherry Parr. Nephews; Tony Boland and Tim Boland and a niece, Lori Welborn and several great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by two special friends who worked beside him for many years, John Ready and Jeff Minor and many other special friends. Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday May 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN., 47804. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Chaplain Lee Taylor will be officiating, burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
