Dennis Robert Hetterscheidt

Dennis Robert Hetterscheidt, age 72, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023. He was born on January 5, 1951 in Harrisburg, Illinois to Louis Chapman Hetterscheidt and Mildred Christine Childs Hetterscheidt.

Bob served his country in the US Army, serving in the Big Red #1 and the Blackhorse 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, and was a Lifetime member of VFW Post #972 and Leon Von Schepper #9 DAV; and was a member of the American Legion.

He was a longtime employee of the Railroads, retiring from CSX.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Darrell Hetterscheidt; and a nephew, Darrell Michael Hetterscheidt.

Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Mary; three children, Angela Christine (Tony Sparks) Hetterscheidt, Cathy Jo (Wade) Johnson, and Robert Louis Hetterscheidt; two step-children, Jackie (Robert) Harris, and Damon (Tiffany) LeClercq; a sister, Alice Hetterscheidt Ormsby; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Private Funeral services and Interment with Honors were entrusted to Roselawn Funeral Home and Roselawn Memorial Park.
