Dianne also leaves behind a great legacy of serving God and those whose paths intersected her own. Dianne was born on July 31,1945, in Kokomo, IN. She attended Indiana State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science and her Master of Science degrees in education. There she met Jerry, who became the love of her life. Dianne’s desire to serve others lead her to follow her calling as a minister. She earned her Master of Divinity at Christian Theological Seminary, which allowed her to serve several churches as their interim minister, work on the Disciples Regional Board, develop children’s Christian education curriculum, and serve as chaplain to local hospitals. Dianne attended Central Christian Church in Terre Haute. Her church family was blessed by her presence there, as she served in many capacities over the years such as elder, deacon, board member, Sunday school teacher, and chaired or served on a variety of committees. In 2023, the church honored her as Elder Emeritus, one of the highest honors a church can bestow.
Those who know and love Dianne have described her as extraordinary, warm, down-to-earth, kind, a light for others, sweet, filled with wisdom, a wonderful friend, loving. This is the true legacy of Reverend Dianne Lynn Duncan Mansfield. We are all better because of her.
Visitation will be held June 2, 2025, 10am-12pm, followed by a celebration of Dianne’s life. Reverend Rebecca Zelensky will officiate, and both visitation and celebration will be at Central Christian Church, 4950 Wabash Avenue, Terre Haute, IN 47803. Dianne will be laid to rest in Roselawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Christian Church.
