Donald E. Ferguson

Donald E. Ferguson, 64, of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Union Hospital. He was born on October 3, 1951, in Indianapolis, to Leslie E. Ferguson and Ina May (Butler) Ferguson Clapper. He married Karen Harmon on June 14, 2003.

Donald is survived by his wife, Karen Ferguson of Terre Haute; children, Jon Ferguson and wife Crystal of Mt. Home, ID; James Ferguson and wife Tabitha of Papillion, NE; D.J. Pridemore and wife Lisa of Lafayette; Jason Ferguson of Terre Haute; Jacqueline Brown of Nineveh, IN; Brandon Ferguson of Terre Haute; and Kimberly McKown of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Jon Ferguson Jr., MacKenzie Ferguson, Ashleigh Sevier, Christian Pridemore, Julian Pridemore, Ariel Ferguson, Kaylee Ferguson, Riley Ferguson, Jaxson Ferguson, Brock Brown, Christopher Fane, Lance Fane, Morgan Fane, and Liam Rector; a sister, Linda Barron and husband Don; brothers, Phillip Ferguson and wife Anna, William Ferguson and wife Karla, and Leslie Ferguson and wife Kathy; sister-in-law, Debra Ferguson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Charles Ferguson; and grandchildren, Grayson Ferguson and Logan Rector.

Don owned Ferguson Floor Covering. He worked for many years as the preferred flooring installer for Smiddy’s. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved deer hunting, scuba diving, and riding his motorcycle. He relaxed at home by watching his fish swim in their aquariums.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1 at the funeral home.
