Donald Nelson Peabody

Donald married Judy Wheeler July 11, 1964 and together raised four children. Donald served four years in the Marine Corps. and went on to work for and retire from GMAC. He loved to build models and woodworking. He was also a Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed watching sports, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune.

Donald loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with all of them. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.

Donald is survived by his children Donnie Peabody (Kimberly), Debbie Truran (Chris), David Peabody (Racheal), and Deanna Yowell (Robert); his sister Phyllis Walstrom and his brother-in-law Robert Wheeler; his grandchildren Devin (Danielle), Brittany (Branden), Allyson (JT), Garrett (Ashley), Jayde (Jake), Jacob (Meeghan), Madison (Nathan), Esabella (Derek), Mallory (Jacob) and Wesley; 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 niece and 3 nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Judy Peabody (Wheeler); his father Frank Peabody and his mother Loretah Peabody (Gentry).

A public visitation for Donald will be held Friday, October 24, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM.

Donald will be laid to rest in Roselawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 7500 N Clinton, Terre Haute, IN 47805.
