

Doris Wilma (Corne) Johnson, 88, of Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, November 4 at Union Hospital. She was born on January 25, 1923 in Pike County to William and Glenna (Randall) Corne. She married Robert Johnson on November 16, 1974. Doris was a graduate of Edwardsport High School. She excelled at skeet shooting and was a seven time Ladies State Skeet Champion. She also shot sporting clays and was a Ladies State Champion. She enjoyed photography and was considered the family photographer. She had a green thumb and could make any plant thrive. She enjoyed crewl stitchery.
Doris is survived by her husband of over 36 years, Robert; her grandson, Jeff Fields and his wife Vickie and their children, Erica, Colton, Lucas and Jared, all of Phoenix, AZ, a daughter-in-law, Wilma Gilley of Phoenix, AZ; a son, Randy Johnson and his wife Linda and their children, David, Michael, Daniel and Emma of Bluffton, IN; and daughter, Raelane Hoff and her husband Dane and their children Aaron and Lyndsay Hoff of Terre Haute; sisters, Frances Hancher of Terre Haute and Virginia Bogle of Bicknell, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Gregory Fields, a brother, Leland “Bud” Corne, and four half brothers, Roscoe, Art, Edgar, and Virgil Corne.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9 at the funeral home with Reverend Randy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
