

Dorothy "Dot" Cooper of Terre Haute, formerly of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2013. She was born on April 5, 1913, in Patterson, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph W. and Amanda E. (Schofield) Meador.
Dot was an avid quilter and storyteller who loved spending time with her large family, many of whom travelled across the country to celebrate her 100th birthday this past April.
Survivors include: one sister, Alice Ward, five children, Juanita Jenkins (Jack, deceased), James "Bud" Cooper, Annabell Street (Herbert, deceased), Larry Cooper (Sue), Richard Cooper (Connie), 20 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, Louise Meador, Josephine Meador, Samantha "Temp" Westmorland, Amy Parkin, Mag Leach, two children, Lowell Cooper (Dorothy), Kathleen Treanor (Steve, deceased), and five grandchildren.
Family and friends are welcome to attend services at Roselawn Funeral Home on Thursday at 1PM with a visitation from 11-1
PM Thursday at Roselawn Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions can be made in honor of Dorothy Cooper to Victoria's Quilts, a non-profit organization that donates handmade quilts to cancer patients and treatment centers throughout the United States.
