

Edith C. Perrelle, 86, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2011. She was born on September 15, 1925, in Terre Haute to Charles and Katherine Anne (Bess) Luci. She married Anthony Perrelle, Sr. on February 11, 1946 and he preceded her in death on August 13, 1997. Edith was a past president, past district president, and past secretary of the VFW Post 972 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bingo, gambling, going to casinos, reading, and crocheting. She loved decorating cakes, collecting beanie babies and angels, and she loved Elvis. Edith was a door greeter at Sam’s Wholesale for 11 years.
Edith is survived by her children, Florence Callahan and her husband James of St. Mary of the Woods, Anthony Perrelle, Jr. and his wife Donna of Terre Haute, Annena Reimschusel and her husband Larry of Terre Haute, and Paul Perrelle of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Bridget Cleveland and her husband David, Johnna Butcher, Erin Blystone and her husband Clint, Debbie Evans and her husband John, Lari Reimschusel, Jason Reimschusel, Oliver Perrelle and his wife Stephanie, Franc Perrelle and his wife Laura, and Kayla Braun, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; a sister-in-law Annena Shaffer and her husband Roy; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 51 years, Anthony, an infant daughter, Paula, sisters, Florence Luci, Grace Pantaleo, Frances Rittacco, and Josephine Dickens, and a brother, Paul Luci.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held on Friday, October 21 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Joe Villa officiating. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park’s Chapel of Memories.
