She retired after 26 years from Indiana State University. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Rosedale Baptist Church. Elaine loved to shop, travel to different places, attend musicals at Beef and Boards in Indianapolis, and spend time with children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Frank Isbell; her second husband, Richard Boubek; and her brother, Bruce Barnett.
Elaine is survived by her children, Brent (Jodi) Isbell, Dawn (Bob) Depasse; three grandchildren, Kati Isbell, Mathew Isbell, Nicholas Burnett; her brother, John Barnett; her sister-in-law, Zada Barnett; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Lilly officiating.
