Elsie Ruth Phillips

Born August 17, 1938 and passed away on Christmas Day 2021. Elsie worked at Columbia Records and Party Cask, but she was most proud of her 20 year career at Terre Haute Savings Bank. She married Vern L. Phillips in December 1964 and their marriage lasted until his passing in 2004. Elsie's later years have been with her companion, Cecil Brasfield. Elsie loved her flowers and pets. The flower gardens of their summer home were beautiful. There has always been a dog or a cat since her childhood- so many strays came into her care. Her life was filled with so many interests: travel, antiques, and caring for family members. She gave so much and asked for so little. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Vera Hedges, as well as her three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her step-sons, Mark Phillips (Pam) and Kim (Tracy) Phillips; granddaughter, Katrina Etter (Daniel); her great grandchild, Everly Phillips; along with several nieces and nephews from the Hedges Family.
