Eric spent his career working in the aluminum and iron industries, not only across the United States but around the world. His work took him overseas, where he and Sissy lived and traveled throughout Europe, experiencing life far beyond home while dedicating himself to his craft.
In his spare time, Eric was a skilled gunsmith and found his greatest peace in the outdoors. He enjoyed a lifetime of hunting, fishing, and time spent in the woods—places where he felt most at home.
Above all, Eric loved his wife, Sissy, with his whole heart. He was a devoted husband and a proud father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He will be remembered for his strong presence, his deep love for family, and his unmistakable, famous whistle—one that could command attention from childhood through adulthood and will never be forgotten.
Eric is survived by his three children, eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation and services will be held at Rose Lawn on May 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
