Ernest Leroy Haney

Ernest proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He retired from WalMart. Ernest loved to go fishing and hunting. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He liked to play games on his tablet and also enjoyed reading. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed.

Ernest is survived by his children: Jeff Haney and wife Mary of Modesto, CA; David Haney and wife Treasea of Terre Haute; Erik Haney of White Pigeon, MI; Sabrina Haney of Terre Haute; and Amanda Haney of Osceola, IN; grandchildren: Elizabeth Haney, Ashley Haney, Zachary Haney, Taylor Haney, Morgan Haney, Myley Haney, Brandon Haney, Hunter Haney, and Carter Haney; great-grandchildren, Addilynn Thompson and two on the way; sisters, Modena Labaugh and husband Bob; Neida Lewsader, and Debbie Orman; and his granddogs, Harry and Sophi.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Haney and Mildred Clark; step-father, Wayne Clark, and his brother, Les Haney.
