

Ernest Loy Huber, 92, of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis. He was born on October 24, 1925, in Owen County to Frederick and Theresa (Newport) Huber.
Ernie is survived by his children, Shelby Bandy of Indianapolis and Fred Huber and wife Kathy of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Kyle Bandy and wife Haley of Indianapolis; Brandon Huber of Panama City Beach, FL; and Brooke Frederick of Seelyville; great-grandchildren, Blain Poland , Cadin Frederick, and Kennedy Frederick; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis Huber; and all of his siblings.
Ernie was a graduate of Patricksburg High School. He served in the United States Army during WWII in the European Theater. Ernie worked for many years as a welder and foreman at Winslow Scale and as a manager at Mineweld. He enjoyed relaxing in his rocking chair on his patio with a glass of iced tea in hand.
Visitation will be held from noon until 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 5 at Roselawn Funeral Home. A private entombment will take place in Roselawn Memorial Park’s Chapel of Memories. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.roselawnfuneralhome.net
