

Farrell Louise Savage, age 94 of Terre Haute passed away in her home on April 28, 2015. She was born to Clifford and Harriett Pickens in Nebraska. She was a graduate of Gerstmeyer High School and retired from Chesty Foods. She married Robert L. Savage on August 5, 1939 and they spent 68 years together before his passing in 2007. Farrell enjoyed spending her retirement at Lake Okeechobee, Florida. She had a love for music, bowling, boating, gardening and most of all, spending time with her family.
One of Farrell’s favorite sayings was, “You never get a smile without giving one!” She did smile all the way up to the end.
She is survived by her sisters, Edith Cooper of Marshall, IL and Deloris Roberts of Terre Haute; brother, Bill Pickens of Marshall, IL; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Farrell was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, sister, Clara Holiday; and brother, Clifford Maxwell Pickens.
Farrell was well taken care of by Wayne Shovar R.N. and Thomas Daugherty L.P.N. of Great Lakes Hospice as well as her girls, Vicki, Rene, Samantha, Farrah, Vivian, Deborah, and Alyssa of Comfort Keepers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2nd from 10:00 AM until the service begins at Noon at Roselawn Funeral Home. Entombment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Share fond memories at www.roselawnfuneralhome.net
