

Franklin was born on March 28, 1962. He was the son of Jackie D. and Donna I Boatman (Cooper)
Frank graduated in 1980 from West Vigo High School in West Terre Haute, Indiana. He was on the football team and wrestling team.
Frank was a member of U.S. Navy and had been stationed at Norfolk, Virginia.
He worked at the Tribune Star Newspaper for over 25 years. Frank was the foreman of the production line.
He worked security detail at the Indianapolis 500 race track every year for over 20 years. Frank loved Indy car racing so he enjoyed working during the race and time trials. He went to the Michigan 500, Milwaukee and Chicago races every year also with his dad Jack Boatman.
He played the bass guitar. He loved music, listening to it as well as playing it.
He is survived by his mother, Donna Boatman, sister Kim Wardlow, his nephew Tim Wardlow II, and great niece Angel Wardlow. Frank was proceeded in death by his father, Jack Boatman, grandparents Don and Wonita Cooper, and Ralph and Ruby Boatman. Frank has many aunts, uncles and cousins that he will be missed by.
There is a celebration of Life scheduled for September 21, 2024 1-3 p.m. at the Community Life Center which is at Emmanuel Church at 6076 US Hwy 150 West Terre Haute, IN 47885
