With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of George “Gene” Eugene McMahan on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 6:15 pm. He passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side. Gene was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend whose impact will never be forgotten.
Proceeded in death by his parents; Harold Wayne McMahan Sr and Mary Lucille Stratton, father and mother in law; Walter Leroy and Barbara Ann Lyons, sister Ester Barnes… Surviving family members include his wife Anna “Kathy” McMahan, brother Harold McMahan, aunt Karen Stratton, sons Dwayne McMahan, James “Jimmy” Wilson, daughter Jessica Hawkins, son in law Michael Hawkins, grandchildren; Taylor Bryan, Elmer Holbert IV, Shayla Wilson, Kasen Wilson five unnamed and two great grandsons.
Gene lived a life full of kindness, strength, and unforgettable moments. His family will hold a celebration of life to remember and honor his legacy, at a later date.
