George E. Neal

George E. Neal, 98, of West Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Union Hospital. He was born on September 9, 1915, in Jamestown, KY to James R. and Ida Mae (Wooleridge) Neal. He married Catherine Sekerak and together they raised two daughters. George retired from Public Service Indiana as a maintenance supervisor. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church.

George is survived by his daughters, Mary Pennington and her husband Leon and Linda Lenne and her husband Skip, all of Terre Haute; six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine; his parents; and a brother, Stanley Neal.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday, March 31 at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, at the funeral home, with Father Steve Giannini officiating. Burial will take place in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in George’s name to Hospice of the Wabash Valley.
