

Gladys E. Williams 90 of Terre Haute, IN surrounded by her family passed away on Febuary 26, 2013 at Union Hospital. She was born on September 21, 1922 in Cedar Lake Wisconsin to Chris and Bessie McConochie.
Gladys was in the United States Air Force from 1948 to 1951. She was a Nurses Aid in Madison, Wisconsin. Gladys was a homemaker until 1968 when she started working for Columbia House Records as a group leader in the mail opening department. She retired in 1995 from Columbia House. Gladys was a member of Barbour Avenue United Methodist Church.
Gladys is survived by two sons Dave Williams and wife Mary Lou and Chris Williams, five brothers Charles McConochie, Lyle McConochie, Richard McConochie, Earl ”Bill” McConochie, Gary McConochie, four sisters Flora Owen, Marjorie Keegan, Dorothy Shake, Marlene Ottum, grandchildren Kevin and wife Shawn Williams, David and wife Cathy Williams and Jennifer Cohee and husband David. Great grandchildren, Kevin WilliamsII, Britney Williams, Brandon Williams, Michaela Cohee, Mary Cohee, Charles Cohee.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Williams who passed away in 1985, three sisters Betty Burris, Doris Deax, Margaret”Peggy”, three brothers Wilford ”Chris” McConochie, Marvin McConochie and Rodney McConochie.
Services will be Friday, March 1, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Thomas Funeral Home with visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral. Officiating will be Pastor Kathy Roush and military rites by post #972.
