He was born on December 5, 1955, in Mishawaka, IN to Herbert A. and Barbara J. (Markham) Bissinger. He married Deborah Lynn Riggs on August 27, 1973. Greg is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 46 years, Debbie Bissinger of Terre Haute; two sons, Christopher Aaron “Kit” Bissinger (Jessica Brown) and Benjamin “Simon” Bissinger (Jessie Briggs); adopted granddaughters, Lauren Marie and Alyssa Lynn Bissinger; grandchildren, Austin Mace, Kayla Bissinger, Kaden Bissinger, Elizabeth, Nicole, and Christopher Desabrais, and Billiegail Brown; a sister, Ann Dugan (Rick); sisters-in-law, Bev McConnell and Terri Fox (Ron); brother-in-law, Greg Riggs; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Greg graduated from Michigan Tech in Houghton, MI with a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering. He worked for over 20 years as an engineer at Dalex. Greg enjoyed gardening and mushroom hunting. He enjoyed relaxing with a cold beer and watching old westerns and sci-fi. Greg also liked to go spend time at his cabin in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He was an excellent cook and especially liked to grill and smoke food. Greg was known for his dry and sometimes dark sense of humor and quick wit, a trait he passed on to his children. His family was everything to him, he cherished them always and will be deeply missed. A funeral ceremony will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 18 at Roselawn Funeral Home with Rev. Bernie Jackson officiating. Visitation will be an hour prior, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Greg will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park.
