Harold Leonard Coker Jr.

Harold Leonard Coker, Jr., 78, of Pimento, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017. He was born on December 18, 1938 in Terre Haute to Harold Leonard Coker, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth DeLong Coker. Harold was a graduate of Garfield High School. He was a member of Lewis Masonic Lodge F and AM and the Pimento Order of Eastern Star. Harold was the founder of Heartland Steel, and had previously been employed by Alcan Aluminum and Nucor Steel. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Charlene Wilson and his brother, Terry Coker. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Mary F. Coker; his children, Carrie Allen and husband Brian of Terre Haute, and Curt Coker of Pimento; his beloved granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Allen of Muncie; a sister-in-law, Jean Coker of Terre Haute; and several nieces and nephews. Harold loved his family and being outdoors. He had been a long time farmer. In retirement he enjoyed puzzles and Hobby Trains. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
