He was a member of American Legion Post 340. In his free time, he loved reading books and watching old westerns.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Hashim is survived by his daughter, Dominiece Cooper; his aunts and uncles, Trent (Mary) Cooper Sr., Ricardo and Roger Cooper, Cesar (Gwen) Smith, Lavaunt (Phyllis) Smith, Ray Smith; his brother, Victor Cooper Sr., Yolanda (Arthur) Rivers; his sister, Stephanie Cooper; his niece, Taryn Crawford; and his nephew, Victor Cooper.
The family would like to give a special thank you to his doctors along the way, Dr. Jeevan, Dr. Gera, Dr. Jaffri, Dr. Janicki, Dr. Kunapareddy, and Dr. Koj. The family would also like to thank Intrepid Home Care.
There will be a private service with immediate family only at 11:00am and burial to follow at Grandview Cemetery. Roselawn Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
