Helen V. Braun

Helen Viola Braun, 88, passed away Thursday January 15, 2015 at the Exceptional Living Center in Brazil. She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on April 14, 1926 to Forest Mitchell Felling and Emma Larimer Felling. She graduated from Glenn High School and worked for Sunbeam Electric Company following graduation. Helen and her family traveled the world while her husband, Robert was serving in the United States Army. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and gardening. Mrs. Braun was an accomplished artist, she learned to oil paint while in Germany and eventually gave lessons. In her final years she enjoyed china painting. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Forest Junior Felling and her sister, Cora Ethel Zimmerman. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Robert Braun Sr. of Brazil, Indiana; her son, Robert (Debbie) Braun, Jr. of Terre haute, Indiana; her daughter, Debbie (David) Cox of Avon, Indiana; her two grandsons, Derek Braun and Nicholas Cox; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. A private celebration of life will be held at the Moore Funeral Home in Brazil.
