

Jack served for the United States Navy in The South Pacific during WW II. He was a member of Terre Haute North Christian Church, an elder for the church, and a Sunday school teacher.
Jack worked as a tool and die maker for Terre Haute Welding and Machine, J.I. Case and Bell Helicopter. Jack was also an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife Catherine Gobin, a daughter Connie Cannon, three sons, Danny Michael Gobin, Jack R. Gobin Jr. and his wife Jodi, and Chris A. Gobin Sr. and wife Marcy; a sister Norma Chervenko, 32 Grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild on the way. Jack also has several nieces and nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Adrian and Nellie Gobin; sons, Robert Scott Gobin and Frank Clark; and a sister, Jane Ann Ferch.
Services will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at Mattox-Wood. Officiating will be Rev. Chris McKinney with burial at Prairie Creek Westlawn Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.mattoxwood.com
