Jackie proudly served his country overseas in Korea in the Army. His patriotism continued at home when he joined the VFW as a lifetime member. He worked for Public Service for over 35 years before his retirement. He enjoyed being outdoors to hunt, fish, and target shoot. He also liked to read and watch T.V.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of 61 years, Patricia, his sister, Wilma Coleman, and his dog, Rusty.
His daughter Brenda Hall, and several nieces and nephews survive him.
A visitation will be held at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home in Terre Haute, Indiana on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00p.m. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. A committal service will take place following the services at Roselawn Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.
