I have many fond memories of playing racquetball with Jim at The Club. I also had the pleasure of playing golf with him. He was always a gentleman and will be missed by many.

Jim and Mary were wonderful people. I lived in the little white house next door until I was 12. We moved to Sky King Airport in 1960. They always welcomed me. Mary let me help take care of her parakeet and always had something good to eat. I helped Jim in the yard, and in return he taught me how to shoot a BB gun. I also had to sit on top of his old crank ice cream maker to keep the top on. Of course, I got ice cream. I remember when they first brought you home. I was the only kid allowed in to see you. They were so proud of both of you. I remember them every time I drive by the house. Loved them both!!

Uncle Jim was a caring and thoughtful person. I loved to hear his stories. I was not able to attend Aunt Mary’s services due to travel restrictions but when I visited him in Ft Meyers afterwards he told me stories about her and how much he missed her. She truly was the love of his life! He will be missed and has been reunited with Aunt Mary for eternity! Rest In Peace Uncle!

Jim was a great neighbor and teacher. Was always fun being with him in the workshop learning how to sharpen blades, work on tractors / mowers. Jim always had a smile and warm greeting. Jim would do anything to help you. He and Mary were GREAT people. They definitely kept the front yard of Maplewood always looking great.
