James Walter Wilson

Jay was a proud veteran and union operator out of Local 103. Jay was an avid Harley rider and loved his kids and family. He was always quick with a joke to bring laughter to others. He was an avid supporter of the Special Olympics.

Jay married his best friend, Shelia Taylor, on December 29, 2023, and she survives.

He is survived by his sons, Troy French, Micheal Wilson (Cleta Wilson) and daughter, Amber Breining (Matt Breining). He loved his grandchildren, Makenzie, Jessica, Logan, David, William, Kenneth, Kristopher, Jameson and Della.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Della Wilson.

In lieu of a funeral, a celebration of his life will be held at the Wagon Wheel in the back dining hall, 1145 Lafayette Avenue, Terre Haute, Indiana at 2:30pm on July 17, 2026. Anyone who knows Jay is welcome to come and pay their respects. The family encourages anyone who knows Jay to bring any photos or memories to share for the celebration.
