Jamie Robinson, 49, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Though her time here was far too short, the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the memories she created will live on forever.
Born and raised in Terre Haute, Jamie dedicated her life to caring for others. As a Registered Nurse and hospice nurse, she provided comfort, compassion, and dignity to countless patients and families during some of life's most difficult moments. Nursing wasn't just her profession—it was who she was. Her caring heart reached far beyond the walls of a hospital and into every aspect of her life.
While Jamie loved reading, painting, writing, tending to her plants, playing board games, making hilarious videos, and challenging her family to Guitar Hero, nothing brought her more joy than being a mother. Her children were the center of her world. She built her life around making sure they had a childhood filled with love, laughter, unforgettable memories, and every opportunity she could give them. She sacrificed without hesitation and loved with her whole heart, always putting her family before herself.
Jamie was known for her quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and ability to make people smile no matter what she was facing. She loved the color purple, smiley faces, and finding joy in life's simple moments. She had an incredible gift for making people laugh, even on the hardest days.
Her compassion knew no limits. If someone needed help and she could provide it, she would. She carried the weight of her own struggles quietly while continuing to pour love and kindness into everyone around her.
Her empathy was unmatched, and her strength was extraordinary. Even after suffering a stroke and facing the unimaginable battles of cancer, Jamie never stopped fighting. She met every obstacle with courage, grace, and determination, refusing to give up until the very end.
Jamie is survived by the family she loved beyond measure: her husband, Michael Robinson; her beloved children, Josie and Charlie Burress; her stepdaughter, Kaitlyn Robinson; her mother, Debbie Trout; her biological father Mark Brazzell; and the men she lovingly considered her father figures, Bill Trout and David Evans, who helped raise her and held a special place in her heart. She also leaves behind countless relatives, friends, coworkers, and patients whose lives were forever changed by her kindness.
In Jamie's final months, she was cared for by her daughter Josie, who remained by her side following her stroke, trying to return a lifetime of unconditional love with unwavering devotion.
Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Jamie's legacy lives on in every act of kindness she inspired, every life she touched, and in the family she loved so fiercely. Her laughter, her strength, and her beautiful heart will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
To know my mama was to know what it felt like to be truly loved and seen. While our hearts are forever changed, we find comfort knowing that a love like hers never really leaves.
Graveside services will be held in Roselawn Memorial Park on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
