Janet Lee Amerman

Janet L. Amerman, 80, of Terre Haute, passed away peacefully at Union Hospital on Friday June 16, 2023. She was born on January 3, 1943 in Missouri to Arthur B. and Martha Elizabeth Stephens. Survivors include her two sisters and their husbands, Betty M. Wilson and her husband Jerry of The Villages, FL, and Sharee J. Mancinas and her husband Steve of Highland, IL; two sisters-in-law Rose Marie Snow, and Donna Mahan and her husband Bill, all of Terre Haute; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Richard L. Amerman. Janet was a loving and devoted wife, and a loving and caring sister and friend. She worked as an accountant for many years in numerous industries before she retired. She was extremely creative, leaving behind many paintings and other works which will be treasured by her family and friends. She loved to sew, crochet and read. Janet’s motto was to “Live Well, Laugh Often, and Love Much.” Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 23 at Roselawn Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, at the funeral home with Rev. Lowell Gisel officiating. Cremation is scheduled, with burial of cremains in Roselawn Memorial Park next to her husband Richard at a later date.
